As you may have heard, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau will be issuing a proposed amendment to delay the effective date for the new TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosures (TRID) until October 1, 2015. A final decision will come after a public comment period. The change in the effective date is proposed to correct an administrative error. The Bureau's full June 17th press release is available in the CFPB’s online
Newsroom.
While this proposed delay may give the mortgage and settlement industry some breathing room when it comes to implementing new processes and workflow required for TRID, it does not change our commitment to providing you with the tools you need to work with TRID. TSS will continue to deliver our software upgrades with the Closing Disclosure and to prepare our integration with the Closing Insight lender collaboration platform.
